Travel Award:
ELAETAO will provide two travel awards to assist deserving students traveling from abroad. Maximum funds available will be $1,200 US per person. To apply, please send an e-mail to Grizelle González at (ggonzalez@fs.fed.us). In the e-mail include:
(1) name and contact information,
(2) abstract of the paper or poster you want to present at the conference,
(3) justification for travel supplement,
(4) amount requested with supporting evidence (e.g., ticket cost). Please include in your budget an estimate of $100 for student registration costs.
Have a sponsor (advisor or supervisor) send in a letter of recommendation to Grizelle González as well. The application deadline (for both your and your sponsor's emails) is Tuesday, September 15th, 2005.
Best Presentation:
When submitting an abstract as described on the Abstract Submission page, please indicate clearly (at the bottom of the abstract) that you wish your scientific contribution to be considered for the student competition. Cash prizes ($300 US) will be awarded to the winners the night of the Banquet!
